I have to wear reading glasses anymore. Well, honestly they aren’t prescription, they are just magnifying glasses that I need when I read and I pick them up at places like Dollar Stores. The bad thing is that I don’t take all that good care of them. I’ll stuff them into whatever pocket, or bag I have with me and I’ve scratched a couple pretty seriously. So when I read a tip about polishing the lenses with toothpaste I was intrigued.
I ran to the bathroom and I spread toothpaste on a bit of tissue and I scrubbed the lenses. I was half expecting it to be a fail. Well, guess what? It worked! My glasses aren’t crystal clear but they are a heck of a lot better than they were before the toothpaste scrub.
There is your tip! If you have scratchy lenses, use toothpaste to scrub the minor scratches away!
