I can’t believe what serves for news these days…but over at Philly.com I read about Kraft warning customers about there not being enough Velveeta around the country. Personally I don’t buy Kraft velveeta anymore because it’s expensive and it’s cheese food, not actual cheese. I buy my cheese food blocks at Aldi’s but I did find this lovely lady over at Youtube explaining how you can make your own “Mom-veeta” at home.
The recipe calls for a cup to a cup and a quarter of whole milk, a pound of white american cheese, and 8 oz. or a half pound of cheddar, add a little cumin for taste and voila, heat it in the microwave or in a slow cooker then pour it into a bread pan and chill. Here is the video
